Lamb experiences
Finding their feet in the barn, little tails shaking as you hold their bottle full of morning milk… Spring brings with it some very special guests and a magical experience to Tredethick. Each year, we welcome several orphaned lambs looking for a home and they’ll become a big part of your stay. You’ll be able to visit them, feed them and maybe watch them skipping around, trying to get the cutest of cuddles!
Lamb feeding
Every cottage gets their own lamb and they’re hungry little creatures, so you’re more than welcome to join us in feeding them each morning! They’re not the only ones who love their breakfast either; there’s the cheeky pigs and the goats to feed too, so your young farmers will be busy bees!
Visiting your lamb
Families of all ages can’t get enough of lambs, which is why you’ll be able to visit yours throughout your stay. In the early weeks, you’ll find them cuddled up in the warmth of our barn, which is the shortest walks from your cottage. You may find you’re making that walk a lot!
Your cottage
We’ve been welcoming young families to Tredethick for more than 20 years, which means we’ve had plenty of practice when it comes to getting your cottage just right. From highchairs and bottle sterilisers to cots and blackout blinds, your cottage comes fully kitted for all the family.
Pony rides
Our gentle ponies Little Joe, Nimbus and Tommy love nothing more than showing the smallest of guests around Tredethick. It doesn’t matter if your child is already pony-mad or this will be their first time, this reign-led experience is suitable for all. Make sure you bring your camera!
Swimming pool
Beat the spring blues by spending a little time in the pool. We’ve heated it to 30c to make sure it’s toasty and there’s never a chill. It’s also 1.2 meters deep throughout, so adults can walk alongside and support their little ones as they swim.
Soft play
We know that the sun won’t always shine in early spring, but we also know that kids love soft play, which is why we have a room that’s completely devoted to it! With light pouring through the long windows that look out onto our farmland, fresh coffee, and newspapers, this a space that you’ll all want to spend plenty of time in.
